The pursuit of excellence led Guido and Veronica Bracchetti to look beyond national borders. The United States played a strategic role in their education as they both continued their postgraduate studies there. Guido attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and Veronica attended Northwestern University in Chicago.
After many years studying abroad they both returned to Milan. The Bracchetti Dental Office moved in the 90's to its current location in Via Durini. The clinic is strongly influenced not only by the United States but also Japan. The best technicians from Shigeo Kataoka’s school, a dental technician who created the most prestigious dental ceramic academy in the world, have been working for years in the Bracchetti Clinic.
A family of specialists for your family. Since the Bracchetti Dental Office's founding in 1930 professionalism and passion have come together in the heart of Milan. Veronica and Guido inherited their love for dentistry from their father Adriano who also inherited his passion for health care from his father Guido. The Bracchetti Dental Clinic is a professional center where innovation marries tradition in the best possible way. The United States, where Adriano Bracchetti is a member of important academies, played a strategic role in the training of Guido and Veronica. Both obtained advanced dental degrees in the USA and brought innovative procedures to Italy including the Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the Roth orthodontic techniques.
These techniques result in less discomfort for the patient and achieve the best outcome by preserving natural teeth as long as possible.
The MID technique uses a minimally invasive procedure to restore the anatomy, function and original appearance of teeth, gums and mouth based on a medical approach that, first of all, wants to intercept (and therefore control) the disease at its origin. Through innovative techniques it is in fact possible to solve caries or other pathologies by removing only the strictly necessary amount of damaged dental, bone or gingival tissue.
Some cases in which the new painless techniques can be used
In the past simple cases of tooth decay anterior and posterior or white enamel lesions have always been treated with a drill and burs to remove unhealthy tooth tissue and replace it with composite and chemical nature.
Today there are new painless infiltration techniques of enamel and dentin that allow you to treat and resolve these conditions in a single appointment, without the use of a drill and without the application of reconstruction that would then necessarily have to be replaced over the years.
For the dentist it is a less easy and more time-consuming operation, but it represents a completely conservative treatment with excellent functional and aesthetic results.
For the patient it means less pain , more serenity , better oral hygiene control and above all a lasting result over time as the need for future renovations is reduced in the years to come.
The therapeutic "revolution" of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID)
As mentioned previously, the common denominator of MID is the preservation of healthy tooth tissue.
The introduction of reliable and lasting adhesive techniques has allowed a profound and rapid progress of MID. However, these techniques cannot work (or cannot be applied) if the existing pathologies are not addressed early and in the correct way.
In order to use the MID technique it is necessary to carry out a weighted risk assessment, preventive treatments and related prophylaxis, early diagnosis and extremely conservative tissue removal at the time of prosthetic or surgical treatment.
Here are some examples of MID treatments:
- Whitening and ultra-thin aesthetic veneers
- Inlays, onlays and overlays (table-tops) instead of crowns
- Conservative periodontal therapies
- Sealants and fillings that do not require enamel reduction.
